NGO Organization Drom applied in 2023 for EU funding in partnership with lead organisations in Spain and Hungary. The project was approved and the initiative will take off in July 2024.
RomaREACH is a project that will include reseаrch and surveys focusing on the civic activism of Roma youth and awareness-raising events. In spite of some progress in recent years, Roma youth participation in policy-making continues to be low, while they remain among the most vulnerable groups in Europe. Bulgaria, with the support of NGO Organization Drom, Hungary and Spain are going to collaborate in this 2-year project, organising training and workshops for the youth community in these countries to increase understanding of national and EU policymaking processes and strengthen their active citizenship and participatory skills. Finally, young activists will attend the Roma Week in Brussels in 2026 to presen their recommendations to EU policymakers from the European Parliament, European Commission and other stakeholder organisations. The team of the consortia includes diverse experts with vast international experience.
